Hello, all!

Hooray for May! We are so grateful for the weather making its springtime changes, for the freshness of flowers, for the optimism of these spring and summer months.

Our schedule at the farm continues to fill up with exciting retreats covering a wide variety of topics and experiences. Some of our offerings come from Halcyon Arts — check those options out, and if you or someone you know is interested in hosting a retreat at Hallelujah Farm, send us an email or see our website for more information. We are continuing to work on additional retreat opportunities that we’re excited to share with you soon.

We are calling May our month of wisdom and vision. As we enter this new season of the year, this new phase of pandemic life, and this new start at the farm, we are remembering the vision that we had for what life would look like. So many of us have had to rework our visions and goals to fit with the reality at hand. We all must use our own wisdom and seek out the wisdom of trusted others to determine the paths that we should embark on. We hope that you take some time to focus on your vision, and we hope that you remember the value of your own wisdom.

We are going to continue our offerings of a weekly virtual meditation session on our Facebook page from 9 to 9:30 am on Saturday mornings. We would love for you to join us then, but you can also view the recording at your convenience on the Facebook page.

We have again curated a playlist for the month. Based on our monthly theme, we’ve gathered together this collection in hopes that it brings some wisdom.

Now, for a taste of Hallelujah Farm. This month we’re sharing a rhubarb cake recipe from Epicurious.com. We love (and have an abundance of) rhubarb in the spring, so any way to use it is more than welcome. As you can see in the photo, the recipe calls for long pieces of rhubarb. We prefer to cut it into smaller chunks for easier eating.

Before we sign off, we want to leave you with these words for thought: a poem from Rupi Kapur.
